The Baix Camp

| Situation |
The Baix Camp is one of the three Catalan
regions that the known zone is divided into like the Field
of Tarragona. The region of the Baix Camp gets together
28 towns
and it has an area of 695,94 km2. Its asset is a Reus.

| Relay |
In the N the region leans on the mountains
of Prades
where we will highlight the hillock of the Baltasana (1.201
m) and the Mussara (1.054 m). To the Or we find the saws

The climate of the region is a very benign

The hydrography is scarce, only there are
streams like that of the Selva, Almoster, Maspujols, Alforja

with 94.360 inhabitants, followed by Cambrils with 24.558
inhabitants.

| Agriculture, industry, fishing and
services |
The 34% of the terrain is arable and mostly
of dry farming; the exploitation main they are of hazelnuts
and olive trees. The irrigated land keeps on winning terrain
in many parts of the industry comarca.La it finds among
the populations of Reus, the Selva del Camp and Mountain-red.
Mainly it is of metal and agroalimentària. In Vandellòs,
we find the nuclear power stations. The petrochemical industry
of the province of Tarragona has a testimonial presence
in the Baix Camp. The ports of Cambrils i de l'Hospitalet

The region is very well communicated to the

routes are the highway
A-7 and the national road N-340.
